For rapid screening and identification of pathogens in subclinical and clinical Mastitis
Hy-mastitis test is a revolutionary monitoring and diagnostic kit for rapid screening and preliminary identification of mastitis pathogens. Designed for on-site testing in the cowshed, the hy-mastitis kit can be used by both dairy manager and veterinarian for integrated mastitis programs.
Each kit contains a double-sided paddle coated with selective media and enrichment supplements, mounted in a cap and hermetically sealed in a vial. Simple-to-use, the paddle is dipped into a milk sample and then replaced in the vial for overnight incubation.
Clinical evaluations have shown that the hy-mastitis test detects more cases of S.agalactiae than an off-site service laboratory. Additional trials have shown the detection of streptococci and staphylococci strains within 18 hours..
